LMAO. This is hilarious! Nice work Allkpop. LOL.
I ain’t gonna lie. I miss Taeyang’s faux hawk and his where you at/wedding dress/and I need a girl look.

I ain’t gonna lie. I miss Taeyang’s faux hawk and his where you at/wedding dress/and I need a girl look.
And I’m back with another K-Series ramble! This time I somewhat marathoned through The Master’s Sun lol. So another ramble commences!
So BEWARE OF SPOILERS! K-Series The Master’s Sun:
I literally just finished the last two episode this morning before work haha. So weeeeeeeee. First of all I am epically surprised at myself for even finishing this series! Why? because I’m a baby when it comes to scary movies/series! Lol, I am not a fan of scary things. When I first read news about this upcoming series from the Hong Sisters I was like “nooooooooo whyyyyyyyyyyy scary romantic comedy????!!!!” Lol “I can’t do scary!!!!!!!” So when the series aired, I didn’t follow the series……yes seriously me, yet I love Hong Sister’s made-series lol. But then I heard how it was doing so well… so I was curious and somewhat really wanted to check it out….but being the baby I am…. it seriously took me about a month or two after it finished airing for me to decide yeah ok I’ll give it a try. I even made my AA mod family members check it out for me and tell me if it was scary or not to watch LOL. Which I’m not even sure helped.. cause they said it was somewhat scary for them too LOL. But hearing and reading comments about how cute the romance part of it was….I just had to force myself to man up to check it out lol. So I did…..
For the first half of the series, I ain’t gonna lie….. the ghosts were SCARY LOOKING!!!!!!! That means make up was well done!!!!!! LOL. I seriously was such a baby that I had to watch the episodes of the series during the day…and in broad daylight and have a blanket to cover me LOL. And sometimes when I couldn’t handle looking at the ghosts….I literally held my glasses up so that my bad eye vision would blur out the ghosts face LOL. But then gradually the ghosts started looking normal and just blue that I thought ok not too scary now lol. So by the last half of the series I was ok and manage to watch a few of the episodes late at night LOL. So yeah I think I deserve a pat on a back to myself for watching and finishing the series LOL.
I liked everything about this series. From the story to the characters. I think this was a series like Coffee House in the sense of- me not hating any main characters LOL. Even though we had a few people in The Master’s Sun with a few tricks up their sleeves I couldn’t come to hate them lol. *ahem Tae Yi-Ryung* aha or Joong Won’s Auntie lol. Ok maybe REAL Hee Joo HANNA pretender was somewhat a dislikable character…but I didn’t find myself hating her insanely haha. I was just like ehhhh mehhhh when she appeared lol. But other then that, everyone else was likable or okay with me.
Hyo Jin was great as Gong Sil/Taeyang. I loved her in The Greatest love, so seeing her again in this series was great. Her overall look is like a classy actress but with her areygo it just works and it makes her adorable lol. Moments when she’s clinging onto CEO Joong Won aka JI Sub is just simply adorable and hilarious haha. I love it. Oh and when she was abit love struck with Kang Woo aka Seo In Guk haha there were cute moments too haha. I like how her character in this series was afraid of ghosts at first but even when she was scared of them she tried to help them it was just so caring on her part. Then again helping them meant not having to get scared and bothered by them but still….LOL. I guess having her help the ghost and having them go peacefully afterwards was just nice side stories to the series. I’m still somewhat confuse on how she even got the ghost seeing ability…….Sure we knew she was in a mountain accident that left her in a coma for 3 years I guess and she decided to roam the world as lost soul/spirit/ghost somewhat………..but I wanted to know what was the accident? Car accident in the mountains? Or getting lost in the mountains? Lol what was the specific accident?! And as for the ghost seeing sense was it just because she made a promise to aid ghosts when she was a ghost? Totally lost me…..LOL. Either I’m slow and didn’t get all the info….or those small bits were left out….LOL. but chea just wondering and a bit still confused on that part lol.
And then there is CEO Joong Won aka So Ji Sub. I believe it was my first series to see actor Ji Sub. And I fell for him lol. He reminded me of actor Cha Seung-Won from The Greatest Love another work from Hong Sisters. Like his kiddy side to his character and just looking handsomely similar to actor Cha Seung Won in general LOL. His “Kujuh (get lost)” was epic in the series haha as well as him and his gold telescope. LOL. But every time he said Kujuh with the go away hand movement, just made me smile…although it was pretty rude at times to Gong Sil. I loved how his character/role switched when it came to Gong Sil. First half of the series we see Gong Sil clinging onto him last few episodes it was him clinging on for her. And I liked that switch. I also like how he simply accepted her oddness/ghost seeing powers haha and in most of the ghost helping stories he was there as her shelter/hideout and aid while also trying to help when he couldn’t see the ghosts themselves lol. In a way putting himself into Gong Sil’s shoes lol. I don’t know I’m sure this scenario is played out in lots of series….but for this series….it just really popped out to me….LOL. and definitely gotta love when he sang 3 bear song with secretary kim and Kang Woo haha. And to get so into it that he tried to sing it again or sang to earlier and fast LOL. I always wanted to watch K-series Ghost for MBLAQ’s G.O. apparently I just recently learned that So Ji Sub is the main actor of that series too. So just found another reason to check that series out lol. :)
Then we have a Kang Woo aka Seo In Guk. Our chief security/ bodyguard who is a scardy cat like me when it comes to ghosts LOL. Cute character there haha. It was cute to see that he wanted to protect Gong Sil, and liked her but knew she only had CEO in her heart, yet he didn’t go on to hate CEO. But at times encourage CEO Joong Won to cling onto Gong Sil, it just makes the love square so much easier to handle and not have to hate the poor guy for trying to go against the main couple lol. Like the “here take this tracker it will help you locate Gong Sil…I added a bug/tracker in her purse” LOL. And then hands the gps thing for CEO Joong Won haha XD. So random but haha made sense and nicely done haha. I also liked how he would be cold to small sun Tae Yi-Ryung aka Kim Yoo-Ri yet in the end accepted her and came around to liking her lol. The girl fought for him and I admire that lol.
So going onto Small sun Tae Yi Rung…it was my first time to see actress Yoo Ri too. And I gotta say She was an interesting character here in The Master’s Sun. like i saw so many sides of her character like so fast LOL. I thought she was gonna be like the bad girl character that I would come to hate. But no. lol. First it was sad to see that her wedding didn’t happen because of her soccer fiance, but then almost hating her to see she was about to go for CEO but then falling heads over heels instantly for Kang Woo. And then that scary yet hilarious part on where she was possessed with ghost obsessed over beautiful girls and being beautiful haha. The way she dressed when she was possess omg haha. But when she fell for Kang Woo, I think I liked that character side of her best lol. It was cute to see her trying to win him over. Lol. Slipping some soju into his coke only to find him confessing how he wanted to protect big sun. and saying she feels like she filming Running man (EPIC!) and why doesn’t he welcome her like Yoo Jae Suk haha did (EPIC) in episode 11 (yes running man fan haha). And then that pretending to be asleep but when Kang Woo got closer bam surprise kiss, only to hear that he already knew she was gonna do that…making her embarrassed and making her sit on the ground like a small girl saying “ahhh I shouldn’t have kiss him!!” lol. She got me like she got kang woo when she cried when he left her alone at the mall. I can’t remember what he had say to her but he left her standing there and saw her crying on camera/video footage. I was like dawwhhhh poor girl. Lol. But it all worked out in the end. I like how they ended up together her and kang woo aka seo in guk and she would be strong for him saying if he got scared of the red carpet he could hold her lol. Too cute. And haha telling him if he kisses her make sure it’s passionately LOL.
And talking about kisses. We got to see all the characters do that in this series. And that was such a bonus to see haha. Main couple had kisses. Kang Woo and Tae Ri Ryung and that surprise kiss. Security guy kissing gong sil’s sister haha. And CEO’s auntie and younger husband/aka vice president of kingdom shopping mall being all lovey dovey and happy too haha Overall nice to see everybody with a happy ending ahha. Funny to see actress as CEO’s auntie in here, while watching K-series Heirs around the same time. Lol as in Heirs she is Park Shin Hye’s mother who can’t speak. Not that her character in Heirs is funny it’s sad but just seeing the opposite characters she is acting. But yes enjoyable main cast of characters.
Oh and I almost forgot! Secretary Kim! He’s got to be the sweetest secretary old man character ever! To love and care for CEO Joong Won! :) because he saw how much the accident traumatized him even when he lost a twin niece.
As for the twin sister problem twist. I got everything down regarding the problem….but can someone tell me why Hanna used Hee Joo’s name when she introduced herself to CEO back in the days in the first place??? Like I just don’t understand that part lol????? Some kind of double twist to that part in general for me lol. Unless it’s like what real bad Hee Joo said……….in episode 15. That back in the days she liked Joong Won….but didn’t have the courage to confess to him……and Hanna even though she was the quiet one, was bold and told Hee Joo to be courageous. So my thoughts are could it be that real Hanna introduced herself as Hee Joo to try to get Joong Won to like real Hee Joo? And then Joong Won ended up falling for Hanna as Hee Joo instead???………. But chea just that part seems to throw me off……lol. Talk about a twist with a double twist….i don’t even know how to explain the twists…..and what I’m trying to sayyy! LOL. And the twin sisters pretending to be one another just doesn’t help! LOL. Goodness!
But chea overall another great series from the Hong Sisters! YAY! I wonder if I should check out K-Series BIG??? I never got around in watching that series….but hmm…..I know a lot were disappointed with the ending in that one…so hmmmmm…..????
*PICS ARE NOT MINES, ABLE TO FIND ON INTERNET!
WOW it’s been awhile since I’ve posted something on tumblr. Life has been busy with work now lol. Sighhhh. Anywho last night I finally finished watching K-Series Goddess of Fire Jung Yi, so here I am back on tumblr to ramble! Like I said I would after I finished watching this series. I did ramble about this series abit but it mostly revolved around Lee Kwang Soo haha. Now I’m back regarding everything else about this series. Lol.
SO BEWARE OF MAJOR MAJOR SPOILERS!!! K-Series Goddess of Fire Jung Yi
First off! A BIG HEOLLLLLLLLLL???????!!!?!?!?!?! And AISHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! LOL. I literally said that after I finished watching the finale episode lol. XD. But before I dive right into rambling about the finale to spoil things I guess it’s better if I ramble about other things first lol.
So I guess I’ll just talk about characters and actors first.
Starting with the younger stars. I gotta say I loved the younger stars. For this series, the child cast were exact duplicates/ replicates of their adult parts! Watching the first few episodes with the kids reminded me of K-Series The Moon That Embraces the Sun. It was also funny how I remember the child actress, Jin Ji Hee as Moon Guen Young in this series being the little princess in TMTETS that fell for Zea’s Siwan and created all the problems in TMTETS lol. It’s crazy how much she had grown for this series. I have to admit she gave out such a strong or more sassy character vibe as Jung Yi that I think Moon Guen Young couldn’t show as the adult version of Jung Yi….
Kid Taedo – Park Gun Hyung did well too. But for kid actors I have to give it to the 2 boy as Prince Gwang Hae and Im Hae the brother duo lol :]. No Young Hak looks exactly like Lee Sang Yoon (adult actor for Prince Gwang Hae) I literally had to do a double take watching episode 5 when the series made the transition of the kids growing up to their adult part. Like literally I had to pause and rewind abit back to see the change for Prince Gwang Hae lol. As for the boy who grew up to be kwang soo haha, Lee In Sung had the same mouth has Kwang Soo not sure about the upper portion of his face. But I give him a round of applause for getting down Kwang Soo’s facial expressions and lips expression? LOL. Like the famous Kwang soo smirk? Lee in Sung had it down haha. But yes I applause them all!
Now onto the adults of the series.
Moon Geun Young, great actress, nothing much else I can really say or complain about haha.
Kim Bum. *swoon* the guy was looking mighty fine as a ninja/bodyguard character lol. I was pretty disappointed with what happened to his character in episode 31. -___-. Like come on really?!?!??!?!?! After 31 episodes of him being an awesome fighter!?!?!?!? And then bam in episode 31?! He gets stab just like that?!?!?!!? COME ONNNNNN??!?!?!!? Sighhhhhhhhh SMH lol. But I applaud his character for only looking and loving Jung Yi. And realizing the fact that she only sees him as a brother and not a man.
Lee Sang Yoon as Prince Gwang Hae? Well he’s handsome haha. It was my first time to see Lee San Yoon in a K-Series or should I say know him as an actor too lol. He played a great prince because he looks the part haha. But it was just so funny to see how he would be all smart and wise but when it came to him speaking to his brother Prince Im Hae aka Kwang Soo. I swear he would get brain washed by Kwang Soo in the series LOL. And I bet you anything when he had scenes with Kwang Soo he probably had to hold in his laughter a lot haha.
And then there’s my loveable girin-DNAed Lee Kwang Soo lol. The sole purpose and reason why I decided to check the series out lol. And not gonna lie the reason why I managed to pull through to finish the series. Because I was interested to see how his character would do in the end. And let’s just say I was a bit disappointed how his character ended up too lol. But it’s girin kwang soo what can I say….I literally played the St. Agnes burning train song in my head watching Kwang soo’s last scene in the series LOL. XD.
The series overall to me was decent and okay. I am surprised with myself to even finish the series as it was a historical one and 32 episodes long at that! Lol. Cause normally such wouldn’t be my cup of tea type series lol. And to add to that, a series about pottery! LOL. Not gonna lie at first that seemed boring to me when I read the plot of the series. But for someone who knows zero/zip things about pottery…….I could say I somewhat was interested in learning about it through this series abit lol. So call me crazy for actually being interested in seeing how bowls/cups/and vases were made in this series LOL.
I do have to admit I felt like the plot/problem was dragged on abit even though they had pottery competitions in between to make it not seem like it was dragged….but still it dragged somehow lol. Like really it takes 30 episodes long for Jung Yi and her biological father to find out that they were actual blooded related?! LOL. Seriously had me going AIGOOOOOOOO lol.
FINALE SPOILER!!!!!!!! SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!! BEWAREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Out of all the Asian series I’ve seen this series has got to be the first one ever to disappoint with the loveline part of the series lol. Sad to say……I don’t know if it was because this series is based on a real story/history…..or what…..but loveline wise I was pretty disappointed……Also I think it’s the first series I’ve ever seen with zero/zip/nada kiss scene…… like seriously not even ONE!?!?!?! =O lol. Like I totally understand the series is based off of a true story and figure but it’s a Korean series version….so couldn’t they at least throw in one kiss to make it entertainment? LOL Another reason why I stuck with this series was because I was curious about the ending result of the loveline……..and I got to say I was disappointed…….. sure they had some cute moments that made me go awhhhhh but ending result NOTHING. -___-. No kiss…..but there was a heart confession I guess…….ending wise…..I understand it as it was based probably on true events….but like I said they could have made it happy ever after for a series………Like have Jung Yi return to Korea and meet Gwang Hae as the new King… BUT sad 17 years pass……and nothing……Jung Yi never returned……we only have King Gwang Hae thinking of her and hoping she’s well……….TRUELY MADE ME GO HEOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL????????????????? AISHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH??????????????? LOL. Or as Kwang Soo would say AYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
But overall an a-ok series. Not sure if I’ll ever rewatch it though LOL. But for Lee Kwang Soo I will keep the series video files lol. XD. Hopefully our Giraffe Kwang Soo will one day get to be the main star of a series lol.
I seriously could sleep to his singing voice lol. no joke! :)
Our Lee Kwang Soo Girin - I Believe <3
Singapore fan meeting
Thank you to Youtube member Jeslyn Fok for the lovely recording.
I got so excited when I saw this news on Allkpop!!!! I’ve always wanted another MBLAQ member to be on RM alongside with Joon! and for a longer duration! I was so disappointed when MBLAQ made a really short appearance in the soccer/water gun episode…and to make it even awesomer! it’s our Yang Leader with Joon! :))
Tell me why when I read this news I was like how awesome would it be if MBLAQ members were teamed up with Lee Kwang Soo?!??!?! My ultimate bias group! haha. and then I scroll down to read the comments and fans have already found out the teams and indeed MBLAQ is teamed up with Lee Kwang Soo!!!!
I died of laughter when I read a comment saying: “MBLAQ IS WITH LEE KWANG SOO!!! RM PD GATHERED THE FOOLS TOGETHER!” LMAO oh our loveable pabos!!!!! teheee! Can’t wait! weeee!!!! MBLAQ + Kwang Soo = <3.
* First five pics are mines, as I personally screencapped the pics. The last two being online. Thanks to RM Doodle for RM doodles! lol XD.
So My Lee Kwang soo craze and obsession just kinda strengthen this week haha. So I think another post will have to be dedicated to him haha.
It all started out when I finally decided to check out K-Series- Goddess of Fire Jung Yi. At first, I heard about Lee Kwang Soo being cast in the series, I was happy for him and was hoping to watch it of course. However, after doing some research about the series I discovered that it would be 32 episode long and about pottery. To be real honest, that didn’t seem to excite me and usually I don’t do longgggggg dramas lol. So I was like mehhhhh about it……But then one weekend, I was so bored and really wanted to start a new series I thought ugh why not just check out Goddess of Fire. There’s Kwang Soo, Kim Bum and Moon Geun Young! So I did. and gosh I’m HOOKED to this series lol. This series literally got me back into the K-series mojo! cause I have to confess….. I thought I was getting sick of them or something because haven’t been watching a lot lately! So thanks Lee Kwang Soo! For being the main sole reason why I decided to check out the series. I will have to definitely ramble again about this series when I completely finish watching it. Until then, I will only ramble about Kwang Soo being in this series lol. Since this post is dedicated to him. :) keke.
Oh Kwang Soo-ya, tsk tsk lol. Such a trouble maker in Goddess of Fire Jung Yi lol. XD. Ugh why did you have such a first appearance scene lol. I totally couldn’t stop laughing when we first get to see him appear in the series which was episode 5. But I was low key mad how we got to see him as a bad boy prince lol. Partying it out with some ladies and drinking gah! Lol. But of course I had to deal with it as it’s his character in the series lol. Tell me why I was so scared that he was gonna bust out his famous robot dance in the later scenes in episode 5 where he again was partying it up with some ladies lol. He started posing and all and lordie…I couldn’t stop laughing. Haha but phew good thing he didn’t put lee kwang soo robot dance in there haha. XD. I mean I would probably love it but phew was kinda relieve he kept it normal ahha.
So far I am actually really surprised about Kwang Soo’s character in this series. From reading news about him being casted as the “Evil Prince Im Hae” I literally thought it was evil evil status lol. But it’s actually more of evil and comical status LOL. He’s not even the scary evil I thought he was gonna portray lol. I find his character Prince Im Hae to be comical at times and just likes to cause trouble lol. Hate to even admit but I think his character is for comical relieve at times lol. He just brighten the mood of the series when he appears on screen because of his character’s pabo-ness (yes, here I go making up words again LOL). But chea, I am definitely excited to see more of him in this series. So keep up the good work Prince Im Hae lol XD.
And then last night, I could not fall asleep what so ever, I guess this happens when you have long deep life talks with your parents. Gah. Anywho so you could say I was bored lying there in my bed. So I thought why not search up some fun Lee Kwang Soo videos to watch on YouTube. Well gotta thank the fans that got to attend his first fan meet ever in Singapore! (So Jealous!!!!) Cause they got video snippets of the whole event up on YouTube. So I watch those and goshies it made me just fall for him all over again lol. J he’s so cute, handsome, shy, and humble! Keke you would think he would be used to doing his robot dance and not be oh so embarrassed about it but haha to see him scrunch up into a ball! Soooooo cuteeeeeeee lol.
And then he also blew me away with his pretty darn beautiful voice singing “I Believe” dwahhhhhh our “girin”! :) Oh and I have to say his black suit top and jeans looking pants and black boots was on point style wise! Very handsome look keke.
It was so great to see how close of a family the running man cast have become. They care about their maknae and he loves his elders lol. I have to hand it to Gary for the best video message ever haha. Something along the lines of “enjoy your time together with Lee Kwang Soo Singapore! But REMEMBER! He is a betrayer!!! Don’t trust him! Never trust him till the end!” LOL. Aigooooooo gary oppa haha. I can picture Kwangsoo “ayyyyeeeee HYUNG!!!” haha. XD. And then a memorable one was one of his actor friends that said everything is big about Kwangsoo haha. XD. Our giraffe who is okay with his height and loves milk keke. Too cute. And haha oh Kwangsoo saying that he hasn’t thought about his love life yet and marriage at that. But says he’ll wait until kim jong kook-hyung gets married first before he does haha. So I guess if fans don’t want him to get marry, prevent kim jong kook from not getting married too then? Lol. XD. (JK!!!) as much as I love them both as a fan. They need that happiness too! Seriously both need a good woman! :)).
Oh and speaking of Running man! Haha. At the beginning of the week, I also rewatched Lee Kwang Soo’s hide and seek episode! Keke. The moment he steps in the room to meet RM PD secretly and breaks into a shy smile! Dawhhhhhhh melted my heart haha. “Thank You viewers!!!!!! I’m the main character today!” keke and of course RM captions gotta say “uh we didn’t say that…… but if you want to think so” LOL. Freaking RM! Lol always making fun of our giraffe! Lol. Poor Kwangsoo having to wear a rain jacket to secretly hide from the guests lol. Sweating like crazy lol. Not gonna lie, I was shocked at how much water or sweat he had dripping when he squeezed his sleeves lol. Can a person really sweat such an amount of sweat?!?!?! LOL.
And then we have the recent airing couple themed episode. And I gotta say, I freaking loveeeeeee how John Park is like an adorable dork like Kwang Soo! haha made me like him more when he totally loves giraffe and show his desired to be Kwang Soo’s partner! Haha I almost died because of cuteness when he calmly links his arms to Kwang Soo and said that you’re mines kekeke. John Park I think I have just became a fan of yours for liking our Kwang Soo lol. I know it’s a show and all and probably scripted… but when guests go on RM and always seem disappointed when they’re paired up with Kwangsoo it just ticks me off just a tad still lol, ain’t gonna lie lol.
Oh and got another dose of Kwang Soo in Kara’s New MV for Runaway! Since it showed scenes of their upcoming Secret Love Series! Got to see him in Nicole’s cuts! Since he’s the male lead for her story! Did anybody noticed Nicole pecking a kiss onto his cheeks!? excited to see more Lee Kwang Soo keke XD. I think I need to download Cyrano Agency to see him too haha XD.
Lee Kwang Soo definitely is a down to earth type of guy. From RM you can get that sense while watching him. But if you watch his Singapore fan meeting event videos he proves it to you. I simply love this guy lol. Asia Prince power! Cutest giraffe ever!
These boys brighten my day today at work. ;)
Had to secretly watch it at work haha. XD.
MBLAQ - No Love MV
Why are they so cute and handsome!?!??!?!?!?
Noticed that G.O was acting like the Maknae in the MV rather than MIRU and Thunder haha XD.
My heart melted seeing Joonie singing out in the hall next to Astro boy and then busting out a arm heart shape while spinning around haha. <3.
Love Love Love <3.
* All pics are mines as I had to screen cap things that I wanted to ramble about lol, except for the 2nd pic!
So it’s been a couple weeks since my last post on here. Again been so busy with life and all lol. But I’m back, as I just finished watching Fabulous Boys aka Taiwanese version of K-Series You’re Beautiful today. Thus, here to ramble lol. So let’s begin! Lol. XD
BEWARE OF SPOILERS! TW-SERIES Fabulous Boys aka TW version of K-series: You’re Beautiful!
As a Fahrenheit and an F4 fan, it was awesome to read the rumor that Jerry Yan was a producer for this series and that the original pick for Taiwanese Hwang Tae Kyung was Aaron Yan, and that the fact they wanted to make a Taiwanese version of You’re Beautiful! I absolutely enjoyed the original Korean version and enjoyed the Japanese version as well. So it was just a big YES!!!! From me in the beginning lol. However, when I learned that Aaron was rumored picked as Hwang Tae Kyung I was abit unsure. I love Aaron as a Fahrenheit fan but I was unsure if he would be able to play the character of Hwang Tae Kyung. I felt like he had the serious face to. But I felt like he was perhaps too short for the role? LOL sorry Aaron haha XD. He’s always been the smallest guy compared to Jiro, Calvin, and Wu Zun haha. Weirdly that’s how I actually felt haha. And then when it was rumored announced that he didn’t want to take on the series and so they went with Jiro instead I was like WHOA! YES!!! Another Fahrenheit member to be picked! Lol. So I was sad rumored-wise that Aaron didn’t want the series but happy that Jiro came in haha. Sigh…..The life of a Fahrenheit fan….LOL. And then I imagine Jiro as Hwang Tae Kyung and I could definitely see it. So I was super excited and ready for the series to be shot and aired! Those were the only news and info I knew for the TW You’re Beautiful…..I didn’t even know who else was gonna be in it, yet I was just excited haha. Waiting for Fabulous Boys to come out felt like forever….but when they randomly dropped the teaser trailer of the series. Good gawd I went insane mode haha. Seeing the whole cast from the teaser I was pretty happy with everyone that was casted. Goodlooking guys for original 3 ANJELL members. A girl that looked pretty decent as a guy. A girl that looked like she could play UEE’s nation fairy, reporter and ANJELL’s management team lol. And the mean mother lol. The only thing I was concern was if our main actress would be able to play Go mi nam well as Park Shin Hye did since If I remember right, after seeing the teaser I looked up info about the Taiwanese actress and read that she was a newbie. But other then that, the teaser got me.
I am happy to say this Taiwanese version didn’t disappoint me. I have now come to love the original Korean version, this Taiwanese version and the Japanese version as well. I love how the Taiwanese cast was able to live up to the Korean cast and were able to add in Taiwanese charms to make it a real Taiwanese series lol.
Jiro Wang did a great job as Taiwanese Hwang Tae Kyung (Huang Tai Qing). The Neat/organized freak haha, the handsome guy that is sadly allergic to seafood, the handsome guy that could pull off any clothing style. And the leader with the vocals that just melts your ears lol. XD I think this would have to be his 2nd bestest role in a Taiwanese series. 1st being Taiwanese Hana Kimi’s Nakatsu. And then as Huang Tai Qing. I think playing a leader of a group just comes naturally to him as he was Fahrenheit’s leader so I think he just did really a superb job in this series. His acting ability definitely is getting better each time he takes on a project. Although jiro didn’t have Hwang Tae Kyung’s ponytails and cool and sometime odd hairstyles haha he did beat Jang Geun Suk in one part for me and that was the final performance scene where he tried to look for Go Mei Nu lol. Cause Jiro busted out acoustic singing first before music coming in and gawd did my ears melt lol. But chea great job Jiro, and thank you for my Fahrenheit dosage as I miss them dearly lol. Off topic but can someone tell me why even though I’ve seen so many of the series that Jiro has starred in….I was never too jealous of the female lead…until Fabulous boys?!??!? LOL. HE was smoking hot as Night in TW- Absolute boyfriend yet I wasn’t jealous of Goo Hye Sun that bad lol. But boy when he was Huang Tai Qing….I was pretty jealous of Cheng Yu Xi LOL. XD. Gahhhhhhh life of a Fahrenheit fan…LOL XD.
Evan Yo, our Taiwanese Jeremy. From watching the original You’re beautiful Jeremy was probably my absolute favorite character in the You’re Beautiful series as Lee Hong Ki simply was the cutest Jeremy ever haha. To see that Yaotome Hikaru managed to succeeded as the Japanese version of Jeremy for me was great and a relief too lol. So coming into this series I had pretty high standards lol sorry Evan haha, but I’m happy to say Evan Yo you did not disappoint me either and did great as the Taiwanese Jeremy. Evan had the cuteness down, the silliness down, the only thing I miss….Jeremy’s crazy hairstyles too lol. Not gonna lie I was hoping to see the outta the blue, huge azz hairbun LOL. I think that one of the major factors that made the Korean version so fun to watch the crazy hairstyles ANJELL members had haha. xD The only part however that I was abit disappointed with the Taiwanese version was how Evan Yo as Jeremy couldn’t get me to feel his pain when he found out Go Mei Nu liked/picked leader and not him. I cried watching Lee Hong Ki as Jeremy crying and singing on the phone but Evan Yo didn’t get me that part. I felt like he needed to show just a tiny bit more of emotion lol. I think it was also the way he sang while crying…lol >< let’s just say it didn’t sound the best lol. XD. Sorry Evan even when I know you’re a singer haha. But overall he still did great as our cute babo Jeremy lol.
And then we have our Taiwanese Shin Woo! Hwang In Deok as Jiang Xin Yu! Ok so it took me about 5-6 episodes in to discovered that he’s actually Korean! Yes I’m slow….but I guess that why he has such a smooth featured face! Handsome one at that lol! When I first saw him in the teaser I thought he was Lee Wang Hom! Lol. But chea Hwang In Deok did great as Xin Yu. I might even have to admit that I think he beated out Yong Hwa as Shin woo too. Acting wise at some parts. And then adding some of his own spin to make Taiwanese shin woo awesomer in the sense that he revealed everything to Go Mei Nu about his feelings for her. I can’t remember if Korean Shin Woo did that or he just silently gave up on her…even though I’ve seen Korean version twice…yet I can’t even remember haha. (I fail…) LOL XD. But chea haha….
And then we have our main actress Cheng Yu Xi as Gao Mei Nu / Gao Mei Nan. Not gonna lie when I first saw the teaser I didn’t think she was very cute as park shin hye and the Japanese actress. But for a girl acting a boy role she fitted the character well and just from the teaser I was quite impress with her acting. And to learn afterwards that she’s a rookie actress pretty darn impressed. And like the rest of the Taiwanese cast she didn’t disappoint me either. She brought out the goofy slow go mei nan character well without making her look too slow like park shin hye at some moments haha. The only thing I had a problem was whenever Cheng Yu Xi dressed up as a girl she still kinda look like a boy to me….the only part where she did look pretty was when she wore the white dress and danced with jiro in the screen cap I took above. (although that specific screencap u can’t really see the dress..) but chea that scene as a girl was good. But the rest I couldn’t handle it lol. Just gave me an awkward feeling that I don’t even know how to explain lol ><. But other then that applaud to her for being a great go mi nan.
The rest of the cast were great matches too. The CEO/manager in Taiwanese version was hilarious like the Japanese one too haha. Him and his English too haha “PUSH!” we all shall HELP PUSH (REAL) Go Mi Nan with Liu Xin Ning! LMAO! Couldn’t stop laughing haha. But ultimate win is Japanese CEO haha. XD. Him and his epic HOLY SH**! LMAO. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Dx1KmbqKJE)
As you can see the Taiwanese cast did a great job in my eyes. Now onto the plot wise ramble. They definitely followed the original plot well, I was surprised that they managed to make the series only 13 episode longs. Took out unnecessary scenes and just kept everything going decently I guess. I can say the Taiwanese version beated out the Japanese version for me in that the Taiwanese cast matched roles very well whereas If I remember right, some in the Japanese version I was unsure of. Also the Taiwanese version included the epic pig bunny whereas the Japanese threw that out as a whole If I remember correctly too. The Taiwanese loses in the crazy hair department lol. But it does beat out the dress that go mi nan secretly wears while shooting her MV. Cause let’s be honest that purple English style dress park shin hye wore was abit silly lol. XD. I also think the ending beats out the original one in that our Taiwanese Hwang Tae Kyung kissed his go mi nan while Korean one only pulled her in for a hug haha. And I can’t really remember how the Japanese ended haha. but the ultimately thing I also really liked about the Taiwanese version was how it actually showed the Go Mi Nam / Go Mi Nyeo twins in a screen/scene!!! Whereas the Korean and Japanese one just show them in different scenes! But weird tell me why when Cheng Yu Xi was acting as the real boy twin….she then actually look like a girl there….>< LOL. Aigooooooooooo LOL. A bit disappointed there but when they showed both the girl and boy in a scene I was like OHHHH! Now that’s new! Lol. XD.
But chea love all 3 versions. Even though all 3 had it’s ups and down factors lol. You’re Beautiful simply one of the top favs storyline ever too lol. : ] okie dokie I think I’m done for the day! Haha goodness gracious excuse my rambles yas lol.
*First 3 pics are not mines! found online! However the oh so beautiful shot of Irie aka Yuki is definitely mines! as I screen-capped it myself! :)
Ok So I finally finished watching Itazura na Kiss Love in Tokyo aka the 2013 Japanese version of It Started with a Kiss last Saturday night, right after I came home from a camp trip for intern work. I was pretty darn pooped out therefore didn’t write up a rant until now. Well since it’s gonna be a longggg day at work today I thought I take the time to write it now lol.
BEWARE of SPOILERS J-Series: Itazura Na Kiss Love in Tokyo aka 2013 Japanese Version of It Started With a Kiss!
Ramble about episode 16 the finale episode:
So like most fan coming into this finale episode I was excited to see how Love in Tokyo was gonna wrap things up and of course see that epic rain kiss scene. Well to be honest, after watching Love in Tokyo episode 16 I was not left with that excitement feeling but surprisingly a disappointed feeling instead. Of course the episode had its cute moments like the epic kiss rain kiss, the cute towel scene where Irie finally said he loved Kotoko and then their wedding scenes. But as a whole episode, I felt like everything was rushed or wasn’t even completed. I have to admit they wrapped up Kin-Chan’s fighting for Kotoko’s love very well. But other than that, I think everything else was rushed or incomplete. Like hello what happen to the scene where Irie apologizes to his fiancée that he can’t marry her? And the whole thing about the fiancée falling for Kin-Chan’s character?! I actually wanted to see that in this version too! Cause I thought that whole plot was cute in the original storyline lol, that Irie ex fiancée fell for Kin-Chan and all lol. But chea plot wise for the ending, I think those were missing and probably contributed to why I was disappointed with the finale of this great series. Cause don’t get me wrong I think I like this version of it started with a kiss the best, comparing it to the Taiwanese, Korean, and older Japanese version and the anime version. Yes I’ve seen them all.
Character wises in this episode, I thought everyone of the cast continue to do well but I have to admit I think there were two scenes in this finale episode that lacked something and surprisingly it was from our two main characters Kotoko and Irie.
The first one was Irie standing in the rain supposing-ly self-discovering that he indeed loved Kotoko. Either it was a scene I wasn’t used to seeing in It Started with a Kiss because everyone who knows the storyline…. Irie runs his azz off when he’s notified that Kin-Chan proposes to Kotoko or because I felt like Furukawa Yuki lacked a certain facial expression in that specific scene and I just simply couldn’t get that emotion/feeling that he as Irie finally realized he loved her like the other times within the series. I don’t know but that certain scene I just felt like lacked something…..
And then Kotoko in the epic rain scene. I felt like something was missing from that epic scene too, this time being from Miki Honoka. I love rewatching cute scenes in Asian dramas so I would replay it a lot during the same week that I would see such a scene lol. So it’s been a good two nights now since I’ve seen that epic rain scene lol. Therefore yes, I have been replaying to see what it was about that scene that left me a bit disappointed. Well after watching it over and over, I think it was because Miki Honoka didn’t act out to the fullest as Kotoko in that specific scene compared to how well she’s done as Kotoko for this entire series. Something was simply missing to me…..a zing…..or just something. Yuki Furukawa did absolutely great as Irie in that epic scene. But just something I felt was missing from Miki Honoka as Kotoko in that specific scene. But the kiss scene itself was shot beautifully I will admit.
I think those were the only things that I was disappointed with after watching episode 16. I did enjoy how of course as a whole Irie finally told Kotoko he loved her and they finally got married and all. The towel scene was super cute cause it was foreshadowing the wedding haha. Irie lifting the towel to see Kotoko’s face as if she was covered by a veil and all. And how he admitted she won him over and that hug embrace that looked like he never wanted to let her go. Pure cuteness. And then Mrs. Irie had to ruin the sweet moment by secretly taking a picture of them haha. And then that cute scene where they were getting married. And Irie goes something on the line of: “gosh I hate how everything is planned out for us…….*looks at Kotoko* but since you look so beautiful today….i’ll let it go this one time.” DWAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH sooooooo cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! why Yuki Furukawa?! I nearly died because it was so cute and sweet lol. XD.
But I think my most favorite memorable scene from that finale episode. Was when Kin-Chan supposing –ly man-up and shook Irie’s hand at the wedding venue to finally make peace between the two for Kotoko Love haha. Only to turn around in seconds with a crying face and sobbing that “ahhhhhhhh I shook Irie’s hand!!! Gahhhhh!!!!” LMAO. Totally caught me by surprise doing that and man I had the greatest laugh ever lol. Yamada Yuki as Kin-Chan was simply great. He was able to bring out Kin-Chan’s character so well in that small scene.
I think that’s all I had to say about Love in Tokyo episode 16 the finale episode.
Now I want to talk about the series as a whole! Lol XD. So bear with me guys! LOL XD. I’m almost done with my ramble I promise LOL XD.
So as a whole, I think Love in Tokyo is one of the best adaption of It Started with a Kiss. Before watching this version the Taiwanese version with Ariel Lin and Joe was my number one. But this one just simply did so well in many aspects.
Let’s point out the obvious; Miki Honoka did a superb job as Kotoko. She gave Kotoko more intelligence compared to the other versions. She didn’t make Kotoko seem oh so slow and dumb lol. Sure she was still portrayed as a slow poke in things but Kotoko in this version knew the basic/common sense things that was totally lacking in the other versions. Ahem like in episode 10 yuki irie’s little brother stomach hurting and she did the basic thing in lying him down on the couch and wiping his sweat. And all that. Whereas Taiwanese version if I remembered right Ariel just went crazy scared mode lol. And then I like how in this version Kotoko stood up for her friends against Irie. Like her standing up for Kin-Chan and all. It just made it so much more awesome and that’s why I feel like in this version I was actually able to say a little in me rooted for Kotoko and Kin Chan as a couple lol. XD. Despite Miki Honoka being so young, I gotta hand it to her. She showed me that young actors can act! Cause I love her as Kotoko. I love her facial expressions too haha. Her zombie mode was to die and laugh at haha. Japanese entertainment world better watch out for Miki Honoka, I think she’s gonna become a bigger star than she already is!
Yuki Furukawa as Naoki Irie. What can I say? On point. Handsome dude but Cold as heck lol. What I liked in this version was how they showed us when Irie would think of Kotoko and showed that he cared for her. All those stares of jealousy were just awesome. And in this version he wasn’t just cold as heck. Cause Joe and Kim Hyun Joong were just like RAWR COLD stone fellas lol. Yuki’s acting was on point and he and Miki had great chemistry together despite the I think it was 10 year gap difference?
Kin-Chan Kin Chan! Yamada Yuki! I have to be honest the best actor to play out Kin-Chan’s character. I’m a hardcore Fahrenheit fan….so to say that he beated Jiro Wang in playing this character….I must be crazy or he simply did a wonderful job lol. And I have to be honest on that. For the Korean version I felt like the actor was a bit too old for the role….so while watching this version I was seeing if the actor could be better than Jiro. And yup Yamada Yuki did so well. The only thing that kinda got to me was how it seemed like he had too much make up on? Unless that his natural face….then I can’t say anything haha but acting wise. He brought out the best Kin-Chan. So good that I found myself rooting for Kotoko and KinChan at times like I mentioned. I felt his pain every time he realized Kotoko only had eyes for Irie. I felt his passion for cooking. And the love he had for Kotoko. Yamada Yuki simply had great chemistry with Miki too.
I think that’s why this version was so good to me. Everyone that was casted had great chemistry together, and they brought out the characters of It Started with a Kiss so well. Everyone was on point with their characters. Whereas other versions I felt like had a couple people that were average only and all.
Hands down episode 10 of Love in Tokyo is my all-time favorite episode out of the whole series. Yes episode 10 beats out the finale episode for me lol. 2nd kiss in this version simple adorable and beautifully shot! And the best 2nd kiss compared to the other adaptions lol.
But Epic rain kiss, I think I still have to say Taiwanese version remains the best with that scene. Lol.
All in all, Itazura na kiss love in Tokyo did not disappoint me and I’m glad I decided to check it out despite how many time I’ve seen the same story plot of It Started with a kiss haha. Like a lot of fans I’m hoping to see a second season of this version! With that, I think my ramble is finally finished lol XD. So catch everyone another time! Lol XD.
Third series I recently finished? Dream High 2! This one took me a long time to finish too because I was watching with my younger brother lol. But around episode 13 I couldn’t keep on waiting for him so I had a marathon without him lol. XD But I would say it probably took me about a year to finally finish this series too lol…..><
BEWARE OF SPOILERS: K-Series Dream High 2
Like many Dream High fans. I wasn’t much of a fan to Dream High 2’s plot comparing it to the first one. Although it was “Dream High” the dreams in this season were like plan b dreams as most of the characters didn’t really accomplished their first dreams and all. So in a sense I was like HUH? Lol.
To be honest, I only stuck with this series till the end just because of 2AM’s Jinwoonie as I’m a 2AM fan. I might sound bias but I really thought he did a great job in acting. I love his facial expressions within this series because he does them so well. And his overly cheesy smile is just to die for heeeee! :]. And his random azz outburst of “G MINOR!!!!!!!” LOL. Crazy guy lol. But I do love him haha.
The rest of the main cast members I had half and half thoughts on them….
Kang Sora I thought, did great as her role as Hae-Sung as she’s a great actress but I have to confess…she’s not the prettiest crier LOL. When she cried it was abit hilarious to me every time she cried in the series lol. ><
JiYeon, JiYeon…as Rian was no joke, either she did really well in acting as the enemy-bad girl….or she just has that mean vibe to her……lol…..at first watching this series I had a positive light on TARA members and their group in general….But after their scandal broke out…..that light kinda faded….and chea I don’t know……
And then we have JB….at the beginning I thought he was cute but being a rookie of course there were some acting parts that was lacking to me. But I was ok with it….until I put Dream High 2 on a halt…..and watch him in Romantic and the Idol…..and boy did I somewhat became disappointed in him….ok so Dream High 2 and Romantic and the Idol is two separate things…..to be comparing….LOL. but still after Romantic Idol JB just went down for me LOL. And I don’t know JB has this cocky vibe to him I’m sorry to say….so I’m just like gahhhhh.
I thinks that’s all I had to say specifically about some of the main main actors and actresses within this series.
The rest I simply enjoyed their characters in the series, hyorin, ailee, park seo joon (aka si woo), Kim Ji Soo (aka Hong Joo), JR, and Jung Yeon Joo (aka lee seul the principle/ceo’s daughter)
From reading summaries and comments about this series I was surprised to read how people were disappointed with the love lines because supposedly it didn’t show who ended up with who in the end. But I thought it did in someway???? From my perspective it seemed like Kang Sora ended up with JB and Jinwoonie with JiYeon? Although as a couple shipper I was shipping it the other way around as I liked Kang Sora with Jinwoonie more lol. It was funny to see that even as grown ups Hyorin, Si Woo and Hong Joo had an unresolved love triangle going on ahha or more like Si Woo simply not giving in to Hyorin and Hong Joo pairing haha. Although I liked how JR and CEO’s daughter ended up together….I was still confused on how Ailee just simply dropped out of the picture for JR? lol. I thought the two had a small thing? Or maybe Ailee simply just wasn’t into the boy haha. Speaking of JR….I think he was my favorite after Jinwoon. Something about that boy is super cute haha. I think it might be his smile as well :] It was pretty cute how he was Jinwoon’s roommate in the series too haha.
The last actresses I want to talk about is Kahi. I loved her as After School’s leader. I’m a fan. But I don’t know about her acting to be honest…something seemed to be missing from her to me, while I was watching this series…..
I think that’s all I had to say about Dream High 2…..it wasn’t the best if compared to Season one…but I’ll be honest It had some enjoyable scenes…..but overall still just an okay rating…..
Oh and JYP? was just simply JYP himself haha. funny man….><
